Pain Control

Acupuncture for pain relief

Acupuncture is becoming more widely used to help relieve pain and is a popular alternative to invasive surgical solutions. At Coastline Therapy Center in Northridge California we treat patients with our acupuncture therapy to help relieve and control their pain. Acupuncture is among the oldest healing practices in the world and is part of traditional Chinese medicine. The treatment is designed to stimulate specific points on the body by inserting thin needles through the skin. This is able to then able to help regulate the flow of qi (vital energy) along pathways known as meridians which can help control the pain you may be experiencing.

Relieving pain

Experiencing pain, soreness or tight and achy muscles and joints is common among many Americans and even more so among those who live active lifestyles. Your nervous system is what generates the feeling we know as ‘pain’ and which carries the feeling throughout our bodies. Pain can be felt in sharp ongoing triggers all over or localised in a particular area. Pain can also be caused by a one off injury, or a dull and persistent ache. Regardless of the pain you are experiencing we recommend being treated by a professional here at Coastline Therapy Center as soon as possible.

What kind of pain can be treated with acupuncture?

We encourage our patients to come in for an initial consultation to discuss the potential treatment options that can best suit their needs.
